MEADOW HALL JUNIOR CHOIR WINS AT THE ANNUAL MUSON SCHOOLS’ COMPETITION 2018
Meadow Hall Junior Choir emerged Winner at the 2018 edition of the Annual MUSON Schools’ Competition that held from March 20th – 23rd 2018 at the Agip Hall of the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
The Junior Choir emerged winner having competed with 30 schools at different stages. This announcement was made by Mr. Babadipe, one of the judges. Meadow Hall Junior Choir emerged winner under the directorship of ace music teacher and director, Mr. Abraham Ogunmola. Meadow Hall Junior Choir went further to participate in the MUSON Winners’ Concert that held on Saturday 7th April, 2018.
The music teacher and director, Mr. Abraham Ogunmola, was elated at the win and thanked the organisers of the competition and also commended the effort and hard work put in by the Meadow Hall Junior Choir members in preparation for the competition.
The Founder and CEO of Meadow Hall Group, Mrs. Kehinde Nwani, expressed her excitement at the performance and recognition given to the school’s Junior Choir, as this reinforces Meadow Hall’s commitment to excellence in academic and co-curricular skills. She said the school places emphasis on music as seen in the establishment of a Music Academy for voice training, musical instrument learning and private music coaching.
Meadow Hall is blazing the trail in the Nigerian educational sector as they were awarded a Patron’s Accredited Member status by the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) earlier this year. The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance also carried out an inspection and rated the school “outstanding”; an honour given to only a handful of private schools from the hundreds seen to date by the Quality Assurance department of the State’s Ministry of Education.
