Meadow Hall Foundation delights the pupils and teachers of Ilasan Primary School at its annual Christmas party. On Wednesday, December 13, 2018, Meadow Hall Foundation organised a Christmas party for pupils and teachers of its adopted school, Ilasan Primary School in Eti-Osa Local Government of Lagos state.
Ilasan Primary School was adopted by the Foundation in 2014 under its School Adoption Programme (SAP) and has achieved a lot in the area of professional development of its teachers and improving the learning skills of the pupils. Efforts are also being made towards the infrastructural development of the school.
Speaking at the 4th edition of the programme, the Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Kehinde Osineye, expressed the school’s appreciation to Meadow Hall Foundation for their altruistic support for the school and for the laudable projects and programmes that have been carried out since they were adopted by the Foundation four years ago.
The occasion was attended by several notable personalities including the Baale of Ilado land and his wife, Alhaji Chief and Olori Raheed Afolabi, the Community Development Association Chairman, Comrade Tunde Obadimeji, Chairman, Parents’ Forum, Ilasan Primary School, Mr. M.O Lawal, Head of Sales and Marketing, Meadow Hall Group, Mr. Moses Mogbolu, and Head, Meadow Hall Foundation, Mr. Omotola Oni.
Pupils and teachers were greatly entertained with an assortment of games and gifts, including a sumptuous menu of food and soft drinks.
Mr. Omotola Oni, Head of Meadow Hall Foundation, commended the school administrators for their commitment to the success of the children and taking good care of the school property. He also thanked the Foundation’s supporters and donors such as Coca-Cola, Domino’s Pizza and the Interact Club of Fort Bend Christian Academy, USA but to mention a few, for their immense contributions towards the success of the programme. In conclusion, he mentioned that the Foundation was birthed out of the vision of its founder Mrs. Kehinde Nwani, GMD/CEO Meadow Hall Group to equip Nigerian children for the 21st century by enhancing teacher quality for the benefit of children’s education.
The Baale of Ilado, Alhaji Afolabi expressed gratitude to Meadow Hall Foundation and noted how happy the children were and the impact the Foundation is making in his community. He also said the event had become one that they looked forward to every year.
Aside its School Adoption Programme, Meadow Hall Foundation has a host of other developmental initiatives held annually, such as Education Convention, Inspirational Educators Award (INSEA), Graduate Teacher Training programme (GTTP), Free Teacher Professional Development Training (TPDP). Other projects include the Teacher Resource Centre and the Education Core Centres, where teachers and children can have unrestricted access to learning and educational resources.
