Meadow Hall Consult, the arm of Meadow Hall Group focused on educational consulting and training, has just concluded a 3-day intensive training for over 300 teachers in Nigeria through its annual Educamp initiative.
Educamp is an annual training programme targeted at all members of the education sector within and beyond Nigeria. The training has been providing a conducive environment to educational stakeholders to network and share ideas on 21st century best education practices.
The just concluded session was the 10th edition of Educamp. It held in Port Harcourt on the 21st and 22nd of August 2018, and in Lagos from the 28th to 30th of August 2018. This edition had over 300 participants across both venues and was themed “Achieving Excellence: A Renewed Vision for Education”.
The 2018 Educamp training had a variety of experienced facilitators delivering learning sessions on various topics ranging from Child Protection, Personal Branding and Productivity, Phonics, Emotional Intelligence, Understanding Leadership, Delegation and Succession, Etiquette and Communication to Special Education Needs. There were over 30 learning sessions in all.
Some of the facilitators and speakers included Oyejoke Coker, Johnson Abbaly, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, Ola Opesan, Rita Ekpeyong, Yinka Obafisoye, Adebayo Adegun, Tene Akintimehin, Taiwo Lokulo-Sodipe, Karachi Atiya, Modupe Marc-Dawodu, Foluso Akinyele, Adeniyi Aromolaran, amongst others.
Mrs. Taiye Erhumwunse, Head of Meadow Hall Consult, expressed her excitement at the success of the training camp. “It was an exceptional learning platform that brought together over 300 teachers, school owners, and various educational stakeholders. Indeed Meadow Hall Consult remains committed to raising the standard and quality of education in Nigeria.”
Speaking to a participant, Nkechi Ogundipe, she expressed her excitement and value gained from the sessions she attended. “I have learnt so much from all the sessions I attended, and I feel like I can take on the whole world. The training was worth every penny spent”.
Oluwatoyin Gbadegesin, Head of School at Dobal Schools, Sangotedo Lagos, “I initially thought I was coming to brush up on things I already knew but I have since realized that there are so many new things to learn and I am happy I made it and look forward to the next edition”.
The participants confirmed that they have learnt a lot and look forward to applying the knowledge in their different classrooms while looking forward to the next edition of Educamp.
